Silicone Wound Contact Layer

CuraSil™

A perforated silicone interface that protects fragile tissue while letting drainage pass through.

CuraSil™ — Silicone Wound Contact Layer

Overview

CuraSil™ is the quiet workhorse of atraumatic wound care: a soft, perforated silicone mesh that seats gently on the surrounding skin without adhering to the moist wound bed itself. Its open structure passes drainage through to a secondary dressing, so the contact layer can remain undisturbed across changes — sparing new epithelium and sparing the patient. It conforms to difficult contours and works cleanly alongside hydrogels and negative pressure systems.

Distinctions

  • Soft silicone mesh, gentle on intact skin
  • Non-adherent to the moist wound bed
  • Open perforations pass exudate to secondary dressings
  • Conforms to challenging anatomy
  • Compatible with hydrogels and NPWT

Clinical Indications

Pressure and diabetic ulcers; venous and arterial leg ulcers; post-surgical wounds; donor sites; abrasions; first- and second-degree burns.

Considerations

Not for use with known silicone sensitivity.
